In June, after weeks of preparation and careful planning, Bolunte take part in Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition on June 9th-12th 2010. which was held in China Import and Export Fair Pazhou Complex, Area B(Guangzhou) on March 2nd-5th, 2010.
The Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition, Asia’s biggest and most comprehensive lighting event will be celebrating its 15th edition at the China Import and Export Fair Pazhou Complex, Guangzhou from 9 – 12 June 2010 with a record number of exhibitors and halls.
This show is also the world’s second largest lighting event and it will be opened by Mr Lutz Sikorski, Vice Mayor and Head of the Transportation Department for Frankfurt am Main, Germany. The city of Frankfurt am Main is a major shareholder in the Messe Frankfurt group of companies. A high-ranking official from the Guangzhou government will also officiate at the opening ceremony.
More than 1,800 exhibitors, including first-time pavilions from Japan, Singapore, Taiwan and the United States will be showcasing their products in 13 halls covering a total space of 135,000 sqm.
Mr Jason Cao, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt in China said: “As Asia’s most reputable trading hub and marketing platform, we offer the one place in the world where visitors and exhibitors can gain a comprehensive overview of what’s happening in both the Asian and global lighting industries. Without a doubt, what happens here influences the rest of the world and this is attracting many exhibitors from new countries such as Canada, India, Mexico, Russia and Singapore.”
Hall highlights will include three brand name halls showcasing global companies such as Osram (Germany), Philips (the Netherlands), Everlight (Taiwan) and GE Lighting (US). There will also be LED halls featuring industry leaders such as Cree Inc (USA), Nichia (Japan), Oasistek (Taiwan), Rohm (Japan) and Seoul Semiconductor (Korea).
"Already in terms of visitor numbers, we will be receiving local delegations from Chinese government department and institutions as well as international delegations from world wide industry associations which include the Federation of Asian and Pacific Electrical Contractors Associations from Hong Kong, and LED industry representatives from the Electrical and Electronics Association of Malaysia,” added Mr Cao.
Fringe programme offers events for all lighting sectors
The 2010 fringe programme sees the largest ever line-up catering to numerous industry lighting sector interest groups. Two of these events include the return of the successful Global Lighting Information Day and the new Lighting Design Gallery.
Global Lighting Information Day partners with the British Chamber of Commerce Guangdong, the German Chamber of Commerce in China, South China, and the US Commercial Service US to discuss the “Development of Energy-efficiency Lighting”. Speakers include:

• Dr Geoff Archenhold, President, Integrated System Technologies Limited (Britain)
• Mr Albert Studerus, Senior Vice President Global Sales, Solid State Lighting, OSRAM GmbH (Germany)

The panel discussion will be moderated by Dr Klaus W. Mehl, International Cooperation Division Chief, National Lighting Test Centre.
Catering exclusively for lighting designers, the Lighting Design Gallery is a new networking event where professionals can share their ideas and experiences. It is co-organised by the Chinese Lighting Designer Association (CLDA), the LUCI Association, (Lighting Urban Community International), the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD) and the Professional Lighting Designers' Association (PLDA).
